Paul J. Lukes, Sr. 87 of Glen Riddle died on March 8, 2016 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born in Chester, Paul has lived at his late residence for 61 ½ years. He was a pipefitter at the former Scott Paper Company in Chester for 46 years, retiring in 1992.
Paul was a member of St. Francis deSales R.C. Church and a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1946. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart Recipient. Paul was known for his quick wit and sense of humor.
He was father of the late Susan Mary Lukes, who died in 1977, son of the late John A. and Mary B. Dalen Lukes and brother of the late Josephine Kent, Jean News, Anne Killen, Pauline DuWeglou and Mary Emanuel.
Paul is survived by his wife of 61 ½ years, Regina Cohan Lukes; his children Paul J. Lukes, Jr., Michael H. Lukes (Rita), Robert F. Lukes (Betty) and Jennifer M. Bland (Mark); also 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass 11:30 AM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Francis deSales R.C. Church, 35 New Rd., Aston, PA 19014.
Visitation Saturday 9:30 to 10:30AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston, PA.
