Patricia Ann "Patty" Boyle, 63, of Garnet Valley died on September 11, 2023 at her home. Born Ridley Park, the daughter of the late Robert J. Boyle, Sr. and Maria A. Wotring Johnson Boyle, she had lived in Sun Village, Chester for 31years and Milmont Park for 25 years before moving to Garnet Valley seven years ago.
Patty was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School, class of 1978. She was last employed at DHL, formerly Airborne Express for 22 years before retiring in 2009 and had previously worked for The County of Delaware Domestic Relations, CSX, Shorty's Gas Station and Sears at the Granite Run Mall. Patty was a member of the Sodality of Our Lady at St. Rose of Lima, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #500 in Philadelphia, Sister of the Moon and was a contributing member of Milmont Fire Company #49.
Patty loved to remember family & friends with her phone calls and always enjoyed singing Happy Birthday to them, never wanting to forget someone. She was a very generous soul who always thought of & prayed for others. She maintained a prayer journal for her entire adult life, until the day before God called her home.
She was an Ovarian cancer survivor & supporter of the cure. While fighting cancer and many other illnesses from that battle our sister became a Secret Angel, she was an anonymous gifter & letter writer to others young & old fighting cancers across the country.
Living with Joe & Janie McNeal is where she made her home. They would tell you she was the laughter in the breeze of the day. They will miss her dearly.
Known for her laughter & pranks, she always enjoyed bringing joy to our world. A fighter to the end, she survived many strokes and was able to relearn how to walk, talk & regain her independence. We often called her our greatest warrior.
Patty was an avid Stevie Nicks fan and concert goer. She enjoyed music & traveling and using social media to keep connected with her friends, she organized many ski trips and enjoyed bowling in a league with her friends. She also enjoyed using her CB radio "Candy Kiss" where lifetime friendships were made, stitchery, puzzles, reading & was always writing about time gone by. Patty also loved wildflowers & watching the seasons change and spending time with family was where her heart felt full. Patty would tell you that her nephews & nieces brought her so much joy. They were the loves of her life.
To the gypsy in her soul we know she is singing.
Our sister will always be our Brother Bobby's #1 Sister.
