Obituary

WINGATE, Pamela A. Mittle, age 57, passed away peacefully, with her loving son at her side, on December 22, 2020. She was born July 25, 1963, at Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury, MD.  She graduated from James M. Bennett Sr. High, then continued her education at Salisbury State College (University), in Salisbury, MD.  Graduating in 1985, she moved to Florida and shortly thereafter, she met and married her husband. They moved to PA in 1990 and started a family in 1995. They had two children, Samantha Elizabeth (5/2/1995 - 11/13/2016) and Robert Matthew.  Her life revolved around her children and she was devotedly involved in their many activities.

Pam continued her education in Pennsylvania, graduating with a Masters Degree in Education from Widener University. Her dedicated occupations were with computers, teaching children and bookkeeping/accounting. She was a very devout Catholic and was very involved in her Parish as a member of The Legions of Mary and a Eucharist Minister.  Pam had a profound gift to always be positive, see the best in everyone and would go out of her way to help in any way.  Her laughter, warmth and kindness were second to none.  Pam will forever be remembered for her love of her beloved children, family, friends and work.

She is predeceased in death by her mother, Shirley A Mittle and is survived by her parents, Ernest and Eve Mittle, three sisters, one brother and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave, Ridley Park 19078.

Private Flowers or donations are appreciated in Samantha's memory to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for Pediatric Cancer Research. Checks can be made out to the "CHOP Foundation", P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352. Gifts can also be made online at www.giftofchildhood.org/donate . Please write "in memory of Samantha Wingate" on the memo line of the check or in the 'honor someone' box of the online form.

Pursuant to current COVID-19 restrictions in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, those fully vaccinated no longer need to wear a mask.  Those that are not fully vaccinated are strongly encouraged, but not mandated, to continue to wear a mask in the body of the Church.
