Obituary

P. John Jakofcich 83 of Thornton, died May 10, 2014 at Monticello at Riddle Village.

Born in Chester, he lived in Brookhaven until moving to his late residence 32 years ago. He was an Instrumentation Technician for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for 35 years, retiring in 2006.

Mr. Jakofcich was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1949 and was the class photographer. He enjoyed Wildwood, traveling and cruising and loved visiting Hawaii, but most important to him was his home and family.

He was husband of the late Emma Jane Otto Jakofcich, son of the late Peter and Phyllis Jakofcich and brother of the late Anna Pisch, Marie Wherry and Julia Krainz.

Survivors: his loving wife of 40 years, Donna Hartzel Jakofcich; children Michele L. Coghlan (Thomas) and Eric J. Jakofcich; grandsons Kevin and Mark Coghlan; also his siblings Rose Malinowski and Charles Shore.

Funeral Mass 10:30AM Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Chester Heights, PA.

Visitation 7 to 9PM Thursday and 9 to 10AM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston. Burial in Adjoining church cemetery.
