Olga Ishchuk Ashby, 85, of Folsom died October 6, 2011 at Taylor Hospital. Born in Chester, Mrs. Ashby has been as resident of Folsom since 1956.


She was a former member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Church in Chester and currently a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church where she was a member of Sodality. Mrs. Ashby previously worked for Philadelphia Electric Company in Chester. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.


She was wife of the late John B. Ashby who died in 1994, daughter of the late Nykola and Katherine Kicak Ishchuk and sister of the late Mary Komonowsky and Ann Kowalchuk.


Survivors: mother of Denise Arthur, Mary Everett and Stephen Ashby, sister of Melanie King, grandmother of Kelly Claussen, Lawrence Jr. and Denise Arthur, Shannon and Nicholas Everett and Jennifer and Veronica Ashby, also survived by six great-grandchildren.


Funeral Mass: 10 AM Monday at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church, 208 Milmont Avenue, Milmont Park, PA


Visitation: 8:30 to 9:30 AM Monday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park


Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery
