Nikolaos "Nick" Tourlitis, 86 of Aston passed peacefully on September 24, 2024 at his home.  Born in Kardamila, Khios, Greece, the son of the late Markos and Katina Kazana Tourlitis, he immigrated to the United States in 1962 settling in Chester, where he lived until moving to Aston in1967 for the remaining years of his life.
Nick was a member of the Military Police in Greece and served as a Chief Petty Officer in the Greek Merchant Marines for 12 years traveling the world. Nick was fluent in four languages. He was very proud of his Greek heritage and was a sixty year member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and also served on the Parish Council for many years. Nick embraced his American Citizenship, traditions and values. He owned and operated the restaurant Nick's in Upper Chichester township and Southwest Philly along with his wife. He was a real estate partner of NEM Property Mgt with his sons. Nick loved the ocean, as well as fishing and boating.  He enjoyed spending the summers at his residence in Ocean City, NJ with his family. Nick gave from his heart and helped many young people get a solid start in life. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially of the Flyers and Eagles, but the most important part of his life was his family and especially his grandchildren.
He was the loving husband of 57 years to Parthena "Bertha" Andreadis Tourlitis, father of Marco Tourlitis (Lisa) and Dr. Eleftherios "Ted" Tourlitis. Pappou of Nicole, Andrew and Samuel, and brother of Yiannis, Antonis, and the late Konstantinos, Maritsa, Eleftheria, Triandafilia, Evgyenia, and Antonia.
The Funeral Services are Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Rd. Media, PA  19063. Viewing begins at 9:00 am with services at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
