Nester Vazquez, 96, formerly of Ridley Park died on September 14, 2021 at Sunrise at Granite Run. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Bernard and Marie Amparo Vazquez.
Nester was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, class of 1943 and had been employed at Verizon and Boeing. He was a US Army Veteran who served during World War II and received the Army of Occupation and World War II Victory Medals. Nester was a member of The Church of St. Madeline and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia sports teams and NASCAR. He also enjoyed reading and traveling the United States by car, but most important was time with his loving and caring family.
He was the brother of Rita Messick and the late Bernard, Theodore and Louis Vasquez; he was the uncle of Patricia, James and John (Libby) Vasquez, Rita Wunder (Joe), Bill Messick (Mary Ann) the late Marie, Teresa and Bernard Vasquez, he is also survived by great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston where relatives and friends may call 10:00 to 10:45 AM. Burial Immaculate Heart Cemetery.
