Nancy E. Davis Richards, 79
Loving Mother and Grandmother
Nancy E. Davis Richards, 79 of Woodlyn, PA died March 18, 2011 at The Wallingford Nursing Home. Born in Big Stone Gap, VA, daughter of the late Trav and Laura Kinsler Davis. Mrs. Richards had lived in Woodlyn since 2000 and previously resided in Folsom.
She was a self-employed hairdresser at Nancy's Beauty Salon. She was very active with her daughter's involvement in school activities. She also loved going to Maryland with her husband at their weekend getaway. Most important to her was time with her daughter, grandchildren and family.
She was wife of the late John J. Richards who died January 14, 1999 after 44 years of marriage, and sister of the late Jimmy S. Davis, Clyde P. Davis, Grover Davis, M. Louise York, Betty Russo, Lily Davis and Charles Davis.
Survivors: her daughter, Cindy A. Detweiler (Douglas) of Woodlyn and her brothers Donald E. Davis and Alan C. Davis. Also survived by two grandchildren, Dawn and Brian Detweiler.
Funeral Service 10:30 AM Wednesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Avenue, Ridley Park where friends may call after 9:30 AM.
Burial SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
