Monica J. Suchanec Rankin, 55

A Devoted Wife and Mother

Monica J. Suchanec Rankin, 55 of Ridley Park, died November 26, 2011 at her home peacefully surrounded by her family and friends following a courageous four year battle with ovarian cancer.

She was a receptionist/legal secretary at Tollen and Buckler and a member of The Church of St. Madeline . She coached cheerleading at Our Lady of Perpetual Help CYO, enjoyed music and played the organ at her former parish.

A woman with a strong devotion to her family, Monica was known for her strength and zest for life. She was a true fighter as she beat many odds, always with a positive and upbeat attitude throughout her illness. She will be remember by all for her warm and gentle heart and always having a loving smile on her face.

Monica was mother of the late Robbie Rankin who died in 1983 and daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Remek Suchanec.

Survivors; her husband of 33 years Robert S. Rankin, her children; Lynn Maxim (Brian), Lori LaHoda (Michael) and Christopher Rankin, brothers; Joseph (Dee), John and Mark Suchanec, also her in-laws; Bob and Betty Rankin, Barbara Cassidy (Mike), Bill Rankin (Jane), Brian Rankin (Maria), Bret Rankin (Gig), Brad Rankin (Sally) and Barry Rankin (Vicky) and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 10:00AM Friday at The Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park.

Visitation 6:00 to 9:00PM Thursday and 8:30 to 9:15AM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park.

Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
