Obituary

Michael L. Pilone, 98, of Tinicum Township, died on January 17, 2021 at his home.  Son of the late Paul and Marie DeVeto Pilone, he had lived in Philadelphia before moving to Lester in 1949.
Mr. Pilone was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II and was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church.  Mike was last employed as a Supervisor at Philadelphia Gum for 22 years before retiring in 1987 and has previously been employed by the American Tobacco Company.  After retirement, Mike worked with his son, Michael Pilone Masonry Contractor until he was 94.
He was brother of the late Anthony and Pat Pilone.
He was loving husband of Mary M. Pitocco Pilone, devoted father of Edith Fleish (late Richard) and Michael L. Pilone, Jr. (Peggy), grandfather of Dan Pilone (Tracey), Mike Pilone (Jessica), Paul Pilone (Amanda) and Joe Fleish (Jeni), great-grandfather of Vinny, Nick and Alexa Pilone, Ruby and Lily Fleish.
Due to Covid-19 his Funeral Mass and burial were private.
