Obituary

Michael Chaga, Jr., 90 of Aston, died March 30, 2013 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Born in Linwood, Mr. Chaga lived in Chester prior to moving to Aston in 1954.

Mr. Chaga was a graduate of Chester High School and was a US Navy Veteran who served during WWII in the South Pacific. He was employed as an Operator at the BP Refinery for 37 years, retiring in 1985. Michael was a member of The Church of St. Joseph, American Legion Post #926, the Aston Seniors and the Retired Oil Workers. He enjoyed bowling and loved the Phillies.

He was son of the late Michael and Maria Ivan Chaga and brother of the late John Chaga.

Survivors: his wife of 59 years, Helen A. Ozor Chaga, father of Stephen M. Chaga (Kathy), Joseph E. Chaga, Sr. (Lisa) and John R. Chaga, brother of George Chaga (Eloise), also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral Mass: 10 AM Friday at The Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014

Visitation: 9 to 9:45 AM Friday at the church

Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery
