Michael P. Artis, 68, of Ridley Park died on February 5, 2022 at his home.  Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Mary Padgett Artis. He had lived in Southwest Philadelphia before moving to Ridley Park in 1998.

Mike was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Boys, class of 1971. Mike had previously been employed at the Philadelphia Shipyard.  He was a loyal friend to so many that he kept in touch with throughout the years. In his later years he met a wonderful dog named Gracie, who became his true companion for ten years.

He is survived by his son Brian Artis (Rachel), his siblings James H. Artis (Patricia), Mary "Cathy" Artis, Patricia M. Tregear (James) and Susie E. Artis-Maguire (Robert), Uncle of Katie (Matt), Sean, Susanne (Eric) and Cheryl (Matt). He was also G.U.M to Sophia and Brayden.

Funeral Service 11 AM Friday, February 18, 2022 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relative and friends may call after 10 AM.  Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
