Michael J. Amalfitano, Jr.

Michael J. Amalfitano, Jr., 77, of Folsom, passed away on July 11, 2026. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Michael and Catherine (Leary) Amalfitano. He lived in Ridley Park before moving to Folsom in 1972.

Michael was a graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School, Class of 1967, and also attended Taylor School of Business. He enjoyed a 40-year career as a Store Manager for Pathmark Supermarkets. Michael was a devoted member of The Church of St. Madeline in Ridley Park and an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. He especially enjoyed trips to Disney World, Lancaster, and the Jersey Shore with Denise. Michael loved attending his grandchildren's activities and woodworking, but most of all, he treasured spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren.

He was the beloved husband of Denise M. (Bove) Amalfitano; devoted father of Michael J. Amalfitano III (Margie), John A. Amalfitano (Andrea), Denise B. Dettmann (Justin), and Christopher J. Amalfitano, Sr. (Maryanne); brother of Robert Amalfitano (the late Nancy); and proud grandfather of Michayla Amalfitano, Gianna Amalfitano, Evelyn Amalfitano, Jessica Dettmann, Christopher Amalfitano, Jr., and Lillian Dettmann.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park. Interment will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
