Mavis A. Rogers Jones, 91, of Aston died March 22, 2016 at home. Born in Cheltenham, England, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Florence R. Rogers. Mavis came to the U.S. in 1946 and settled in Chester before moving to her late residence 64 years ago.

Mavis was a former employee of Strawbridge & Clothier and had previously worked for Gimbels and Grants. She enjoyed puzzle books and watching game shows, but most important was her family.

Mavis was predeceased by her husband, Oliver D. Jones, who died in 1967 and seven siblings all in the U.K.

She was the mother of George O. Jones (Vivienne) and Linda M. Hibberd (Robert); and was also survived by seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren
