Maryanne M. McDevitt Pollock, 79, of Ridley Park, died November 10, 2012 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Pollock has lived in Ridley Park since 1963. Maryanne was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School, Class of 1951, and was previously employed at Boeing for 12 years retiring in 1994.
She was a member of The Church of St. Madeline and the St. Denis Seniors. She loved to dance and cook, and always enjoyed being with family and her many friends. Always putting others first, Maryanne was a caring and selfless person, she would help with shut-ins. " She was an empathetic spontaneous lively woman with an infectious laugh, Mom always had a lovely sparkle in her eyes with dynamic energy"!
Maryanne was wife of the late Donaldson G. Pollock who died in August 1986 after 29 years of marriage, mother of the late William D. Pollock who died January 9, 1979, daughter of the late Edward and Bridget Kelly McDevitt and sister of the late Margaret E. "Peg" Leeser.
Survivors: mother of Maryanne C. Pollock and Margie E. Antola (Carlos), grandmother of Luciano and Miguel Antola.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Saturday at The Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park
Visitation: 8:30 to 9:15 AM Saturday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park
