Mary F. Carr White, 90, of Claymont, DE, died September 29, 2012 at Taylor Hospice Residence.
Born in Bala Cynwyd, Mrs. White lived in Ridley Park prior to moving to her late residence 20 years ago.
She was a graduate of Lower Merion High School and was a crossing guard for the Ridley Park Borough at the intersection of DuPont St. and Swarthmore Avenue. Mary was a community activist, but most important was her devotion to her blended family.
She was wife of the late Thomas Flaherty who died in 1952 and Theodore White who died in 1978, mother of the late Joni Flaherty, stepmother of the late Charles White, daughter of the late David and Mary Hunter Carr and sister of the late Edith Zollener, James Carr and David Carr.
Survivors: her blended family, Diana Flaherty, Thomas Flaherty (Crystal), Mary Flaherty, David Flaherty (Lorraine), Robert White (Lynn), Michael White (Lisa), Florence Fisher, Mary Ella Clark, Edith Tackett (Olen) and Thomas White (Connie), sister of Joan Carr, Frank Carr, Charles Carr and Cynthia Fitzgerald, also many grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren.
