Mary C. Vapniarek

Mary C. Vapniarek (nee Graney), 82, of Glenolden died on August 8, 2026. Born in County Kerry, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Brolly Graney. Mary had lived in Philadelphia before moving to Glenolden in 1970.

Mary was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls and was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church in Eddystone. She enjoyed traveling and quilting (Undercover Quilters) and she also loved to cook and was a member of the Gourmet Cooking Club. Most important was her loving family, especially her cherished granddaughter.

She was the loving wife of Frank J. Vapniarek, mother of Matthew F. Vapniarek (Joy) and David Vapniarek (Lisa), grandmother of Madeline Vapniarek, sister of Hugh Graney (Kathleen) and Gene Graney (late Gina), also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Saturday, August 15, 2026at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone where a visitation will begin at 10 AM.
