Mary R. Rawlyk Shakespeare, 98, of Media died April 30, 2016 at Granite Farms Estates. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Zuk Rawlyk and resided in Ridley Park before moving to her late residence eight years ago.

Mary was last employed by United Equipment in DE as a bookkeeper and previously owned and operated a service station in Chester with her late husband. She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church for over sixty years, the Young at Heart Seniors in Ridley Park and the Ukrainian National Association. Mary enjoyed reading, sewing and shopping and spent many hours babysitting her cherished grandchildren. She was the heart of the family and most important was her love and devotion to her family.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Samuel W. Shakespeare, who died in 1973 and her brothers, Charles and Michael Rawlyk.

Survivors: mother of Samuel W. Shakespeare (Barbara), Marilyn K. Pereira (Late Antonio) and Sharon S. Wushensky (Curtis); sister of Catherine Popek; also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Burial Rite and Eucharist: 11:00 AM Thursday, May 5, 2016 at St. James Episcopal Church, 736 11th Ave., Prospect Park, PA 19076, where friends may call from 10:00-10:45 AM.
