Mary A. Sprout Pearsall, 93, of Ridley Park died May 24, 2012 at Taylor Hospital. Born in Montrose, PA, she lived in Norwood prior to moving to her late residence 59 years ago. Mary was a graduate of Montrose High School, Class of 1935 and attended the Keystone College.
Mary was employed as a Typesetter at the Delaware County Daily Times for 17 years and was previously employed by the Singlinger Company in Ridley Park. She was president and co-founder of the Ridley Park Seniors and served of the Ridley Park Recreation Board and Ridley Park Cable Board. Mary was a volunteer at Taylor Hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels for the Schoolhouse Center. Mary enjoyed bowling and was an avid Phillies fan, but most important was her devotion to her family and her work with the seniors.
She was wife of the late Charles O. "Chuck" Pearsall and daughter of the late Russell and Vida James Sprout.
Survivors: mother of Harry "Rusty" Pearsall (Betty Jo), Anne Pearsall, Nancy Sheppard (Ray), Mary Ellen McQuade (Jack) and Charles O. "Chuck" Pearsall, Jr. (Beth), also survived by nine grandchildren and seven grandchildren.
Burial Rite and Eucharist: 10 AM Wednesday at Christ Church Episcopal, Nevin St. and Sellers Ave., Ridley Park
Visitation: 6:30 to 9 PM Tuesday and 8:15 to 9:15 AM Wednesday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park
