Mary L. (Tomsky) Morson, 93, died December 23rd, 2021 at Crozer Chester Medical Center after a very long illness. Born in Woodlyn, where she resided for the past 93 years, she was the fourth and youngest daughter of the late Michael and Tekla Tomsky who immigrated from Tsarist Russia.
Mary was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, Class of 1945. She was a member of the National Honor Society and was also very active in her local church; the First Baptist Church of Crum Lynne for over 75 years, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the Choir, was a Trustee and Treasurer as well as the Organist. She served her community as a Judge of Elections for over 20 years in her local Ward. She was on the original committee to organize the Senior Citizens of Ridley Township at the old Leiperville Grammar school. Mary volunteered her services at the Woodlyn Elementary School Library, was past President and Treasurer of the PTA, and was a Teacher's Aid and assistant Secretary to the Principal. Her hobbies were nature crafts, candles, oil painting and ceramics.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of over 58 years, Edward A. Morson and her sisters, Nina Saedlo, Nada Gitaitis and Vera Zubko.
She is survived by her son, Edward M. Morson (Elizabeth); her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Morson Durante (Brett) and grandson, Evan M. Morson plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services and burial privately on December 28, 2021.
