Mary P. Meyer Miller, 89, lifelong resident of Southwest Philadelphia died April 24, 2016 at Taylor Hospice Residence. Born in Bradley, SD and raised in Watertown, SD, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Florence Wyant Meyer.
Mary was employed as a waitress for many years at the Robinson and Court Diners. She was a member of St. Clements Catholic Church. Mary lived on a farm in her youth and enjoyed riding horses. She loved dancing, sketching, drawing, photography and making family albums for her family. Mary collected salt and pepper shakers and enjoyed traveling to South Dakota annually for family reunions, but most important she loved spending time with her family.
Mary was predeceased by her husbands, William John Miller, whom she married Aug. 13, 1945 and he died Oct. 8, 1978, Joseph Onyschuk and Salvador Lejarza; her son, William Miller; and her siblings, John, William, Joseph, Theodore, Herman, Henry, Paul and Pearl.
Survivors: mother of Theresa Rehm (John), Shirley Walsh (Francis), Regina Chester (Edward), Mary Ellen Skarren (Bert), Margaret Healy (Joseph) and Judy Cioci (Michael); mother-in-law of Shirley Miller; also survived by her 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.
