Mary Jean Sisson McHugh, 88, of Ocean City, NJ, died November 19, 2018 at Neshaminy Manor. Born and raised in Ridley Park, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Marie Rooney Sisson and moved to Ocean City in 1977.

Jean was a graduate of Ridley Park High School, class of 1947 and was employed as the Office Manager for Dr. Robert Bray in Somers Point, NJ, for 20 years before retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. Damien Parish and St. Augustine. Jean enjoyed sewing, reading and walking but most important was her loving family.

Jean was predeceased by her husband of 26 years, William J. McHugh, who died December 16, 1976; her son, George W. McHugh; her granddaughter, Rebecca Johnson; and her sisters, Virginia Sisson, Dorothy Ostien and Florence Reese.

She was the mother of Susan M. Johnson (Evan), Virginia J. McHugh, Mary Jane Shelton, William E. McHugh (Jennifer), Kathleen A. Giangiulio (Michael), Michael P. McHugh and Christine A. Zilberfarb (Michael); sister of Elizabeth "Betty" Long; also survived by 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 AM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078 where relatives and friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 AM.

Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
