Mary R. Matteo 93 of Springfield, died on July 17, 2022.

She was born in Chester and lived in Milmont Park before moving to Springfield.

Mary was a cafeteria cashier for the Ridley School District and was a member of Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church.

She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, boating, crabbing, roller skating and motorcycling with her husband but most important to her was spending time with her family.

Mary was the loving wife of the late Thomas R. Matteo, her husband of 46 years, who died in 1995; daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Tedesco Yacona and sister of the late Joseph Yacona, James Yacona, Tudy Petino, Fannie Borgese, Anna Yacona, Connie Lane and Madge DiVito.

She is survived by her daughters, Marion Matteo Bailey (Dennis) and Theresa Matteo; also, her granddaughter Elizabeth Bailey (Kristen).

Funeral Mass 10:00 Monday, July 25, 2022 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022 where relatives and friends may call from 9:00 to 9:45AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
