Mary C. Hopkins Kearney, 84 of Pittston, PA formerly of Milmont Park, died March 25, 2013 at Ware Village in Oxford.
Born in Pittston, she lived in Milmont Park for 40 years before moving to her late residence nine years ago. Mary was a secretary at the Delaware County Court House for 8 years, retiring in 1992 and prior to that worked for Sears in Scranton.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Pittston and Our Lady of Peace Church in Milmont Park where she did volunteer work and was a member of the PTA at Our Lady of Peace School; she also was a member of Catholic Daughters of America.
Mary was the wife of the late Paul J. Kearney, her husband of 27 years, who died in 1992, mother of the late William E. Kearney and daughter of the late Robert J. and Sarah Walsh Hopkins.
Survivors: her children Anne M. Rocco, Paul M. Kearney, Gene P. Kearney and Robert J. Kearney; also nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass 10:30AM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 208 Milmont Ave., Milmont Park, PA where friends may call after 10:00AM.
Burial private.
