Obituary

Mary E. King Katein, 89 of Ridley Park, died October 4, 2012 at Springfield Hospital.

Born in Chester, she was a lifelong resident of Ridley Park.
Mary was a member of the Church of St. Madeline where she was active in the parish and school, also the Delaware Valley Parkinson's Association as well as the the Ridley Park Swim Club and the Hearts to Hands Quilters.

She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed cooking, baking and making candy. However most important to Mary was her devotion to her family, friends and her faith.

She was daughter of the late Thomas and Barbara O'Malley King and sister of the late Thomas J. King, John King, Dolores Duckworth and Michael F. King.

Survivors: her husband of 65 years, C. Robert Katein; her daughters Mary Ellen Welch (John), Catherine K. Fasy (Richard) and Elizabeth A. McCormick (Daniel); nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her sister in law Julia King.

Funeral Mass 11:00AM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., RidleyPark.

Visitation from 9 to 10:45AM at the Church. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
