Mary F. Hannum (nee Frysinger), 93, former longtime Swarthmore resident, died on September 13, 2013 at the Sanatoga Center in Pottstown. She was born in Chester and graduated in 1937 from Chester High School.
Mary was employed as a waitress at the Ingleneuk Tea Room in her younger years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, Phillies, Eagles and Penn State Football. Mary also enjoyed traveling, but most important was her family and many friends.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Edward E. "Ted" Hannum, who died in September 1983 and her parents, Walter House and Mary Waters Frysinger.
She is survived by her children, David R. Hannum, Paul R. Hannum (Nancy) and Mary Beth Brown (Gary); her brothers, Walter H. "Buzz" Frysinger, Jr. and Robert Frysinger (Judy); her sister, Bette Tyson (Jess) and twin grandsons, Keith Hannum (Lyn) and Lyle Hannum.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Mary, 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM Thursday, September 26, 2013, at the Concordville Inn, 780 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342
