Mary Ann DiGiovanni Florio 77 of Crum Lynne, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on February 11, 2015.
Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Pierino DiGiovanni and Adalgisa Trasatti DiGiovanni, living in Parkside before moving to her last residence 54 years ago.
Mary taught second grade at Edgewood Elementary School in the Ridley School District and after her retirement she substituted in the district for many years.
She was a member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1955 and also West Chester State Teachers College.
Mary enjoyed her friends, teaching, traveling, reading and gardening; but most important was her family, especially her grandson Dominic, the love of her life.
Mary is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph F. Florio; her children Donna Marie Florio Cristinzio and Joseph M. Florio; her grandson Dominic Cristinzio; her siblings Dr. R.J. DiGiovanni, Vincent DiGiovanni and Vera Wohlman; also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass 10:00AM Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022 where friends may call from 8:45 to 9:45AM. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
