Mary Catherine Langley Csanady, 92 of Ridley Park died on February 9, 2016 at Crozer Keystone Hospice at Taylor. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Vinson and Mary Elizabeth Springman Langley and lived in Essington before moving to her late residence 61 years ago.
Catherine was a member of the Ridley Park Presbyterian Church where she previously was a Deacon and Elder. She was a former President of the Ridley Park Seniors and the Ridley Park Home and School. Catherine was a Judge of Elections in Ridley Park's 3rd Precinct, captain of Happy Hearts Bowling League and a former Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She was a volunteer at Taylor Hospital and Meals on Wheels. Catherine served on the Board of Directors for the Barnstormers and also performed in several productions. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress and was a member of the Hearts to Hand Quilters. Catherine enjoyed summers at Stone Harbor, NJ, traveling, gardening, entertaining and playing bridge. She was an avid reader and loved animals, especially her Schnauzers, and adored being with her family.
Catherine was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Michael Csanady, Jr., who died March 1, 2001 and her son, Lance C. Csanady.
Survivors: mother of Michael Csanady, III (Maryann), J. Gary Csanady (Sandra), Suzanne K. Borton and Robert V. Csanady; sister of Ramon Langley; grandmother of Lance, Jr., Lauren, Amanda, Stephen, Christopher and Mary Elizabeth; also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Monday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078 where friends may call from 10:00-11:00 AM.
