Mary Jane Congdon, 71, of Linwood, died August 11, 2014 at Kindred Hospital. Born in Ridley Park, she lived in Philadelphia before moving to her late residence in 1986. Mary Jane was the daughter of Paul D. and Mary Mendenhall Congdon.

She graduated from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Lankenau Hospital School of Anesthesiology and the Ottawa University in Kansas City. Mary Jane was employed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for Society Hill Anesthesia Consultants for five years before retiring in 2008. Previously she worked for Haverford Anesthesia Associates. She was a member of many professional organizations, the Church of St. Luke and The Epiphany and an active volunteer within the church and community.

Mary Jane was the sister of Paul D. Congdon, Jr. and had many friends.

Service: 3:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, where friends may call after 2:00 PM.
