Mary Hupy Callahan 97, of Cape Coral, Florida, died on September 27, 2022 at her home.

Born in Iron Mountain, MI and raised in Power/Spalding, MI, she lived in Ridley Park, then Elkton, MD for 35 years before moving to her late residence in 2007.

Mary was Postal Clerk at the Ridley Park Post Office for 25 years until her retirement.

She was a former member of The Church of St. Madeline and was a volunteer at the Men's Shelter in Elkton, Mary loved gardening and enjoyed her home on the Elk River.

Mary was the wife of the late Edward Callahan who died in 1973.

She is survived by her children, Aleta DiPaolo (Charles), Edward T. Callahan, Patricia Klaus (Dr. John), John K. Callahan (Paula), Paul L. Callahan, Daniel J. Callahan, Joseph P. Callahan and Laura Reynolds (Joseph); her brothers, John Hupy (Mary) and Kenneth Hupy; also, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Aleta, Paul and Laura were her caregivers for many years.

Funeral Mass 10:30AM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at The Church of St. Madeline, Penn Street and Morton Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9:30AM. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.
