Obituary

Marvin W. Hardy, 79, of Brookhaven died on July 19, 2021 at Lankenau Medical Center.  Born in Enfield, NC, son of the late Andrew James and Omega Solomen Hardy, he lived in Upland before moving to his his late residence 13 years ago.

Marvin was a graduate of Eastman High School, class of 1960 and was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War.  He was a friend of Imago Dei MC Church, a member of the American Legion Post 926 in Green Ridge and VFW Post 974 in Darby, PA.  Marvin was employed as a Driver for Brokers Worldwide Trucking for over 20 years.  He was a avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Eagles and loved his Basset Hound George.
He was loving husband of Sandra L. Smith Hall-Hardy, father of Marvin Hardy, Jr. and the late Christopher Hardy, step-father of Charles and William Hall and the late Roslyn B. Hall-Spain, brother of Jean Overton, Jessie Hardy and the late Andrew James Hardy also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service 7:30 PM Saturday, July  24, 2021 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call 6:00 to 7:30 PM.  Burial private.
