Martin T. "Marty" Knight, 73 of Aston, PA and Kennedyville, MD passed away suddenly at home on March 4, 2026. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Martin T. and Helen A. Brodzinski Knight.
Marty was a lifelong resident of Aston, graduat e of Sun Valley High School, Class of 1970, and a member of The Church of St. Joseph. He was the President of Knight Bros., Inc. and highly respected within the tree care industry who became both a friend and mentor to many people over the years. Marty was a member of the Aston Business Association, the Suburban Contractors Association, the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association, the International Society of Arboriculture, the Tree Care Industry Association, Morris Arboretum and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, crabbing and raising Black Angus steer at his farm in Kennedyville and was an avid fan of the TV show Yellowstone. Most important was his dedication to his cherished family and his beloved dogs Zoey, Zebediah and Zadie.
He was the loving husband of 55 years to Janice L. Barrett Knight; devoted father of Tamara L. Keesey (late David), Martin Knight, Jr., Nicholas Knight and the late Katie Knight; brother of Beverly L. Knight Morgan and the late Barbara J. Knight Brown; grandfather of Brindon, David (Hannah) and Kacie Keesey and Charlotte Knight; great-grandfather of Brynnleigh and Collyn Keesey. He was uncle of the late Timothy Martin Kuhl. Marty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Marty’s memory may be made to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 1849 C Street, NW Washington, DC 20240 or by planting a tree to benefit the Reforestation Program.
