Martha Jane Whitehead, 98, a 40 plus year resident of Ridley Park passed away on June 29, 2015. Born in Pitman, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Fulton and Martha Souder Whitehead. She lived in Germantown before moving to Ridley Park.

Jane was employed by Ewing Cole as an administrative assistant for over 30 years. She was a past member and welcomed visitor of Ridley Park United Methodist Church, Young at Heart and Ridley Park Seniors. Jane enjoyed needlepoint and playing poker but especially loved time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and her cat, Sparky.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Margaret Ann Scholtz and her brothers, Herbert "Fulton" Whitehead, Jr. and Paul Whitehead

Jane was the grandmother of Marta J. DeVoll (Bryan), Charles J. "Chaz" Scholtz and Betts M. Ryan (Brian); she is also survived by six great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters
