Marion Lydia Jamison of Newark, Delaware, died August 16, 2025, on her 92nd birthday after a short illness.
Marion was born on August 16, 1933, to Henry Wilmont Walls and Marion Steward Walls in the Aston Mills section of Aston Township, Pennsylvania. Marion was a 1951 graduate of Media High School. She married in 1956 to Thomas R. Jamison, Sr., who predeceased her in 1994.
Marion lived in the Upper and Lower Chichester areas for almost 60 years. She was a resident of ExcelCare (formerly Churchman's Village) in Newark, Delaware. Prior to moving to Newark, Marion was a resident of Lutheran Knolls of Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, for almost 18 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and poker and shopping at Boscov's, her favorite store. In her younger years, she liked going to the beach and eating out for lunch and dinner with family and friends.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Verna M. Moore, Lydia J. Hunter, and Jennie S. Tuohey, and brothers, John Z. Hunter, Jr. and Joseph S. Hunter. She is survived by her daughter, Denise L. Gundaker (late Tom), and two sons, Thomas R. Jamison, Jr. and Gregory A. Jamison (Sharon). She is also survived by three grandchildren, Matthew T. Gundaker (Alexandra), Olivia R. Jamison, and Nicholas S. Jamison, and one great grandson, Jacob Gundaker.
Funeral Service 11 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston where relatives and friends may call after 10 AM. Burial private.
