Marie T. Connelly (nee Cummings), 91, of Swarthmore died November 25, 2017 at her home. Born in Ridley Park, daughter of the late Mark J. and Teresa Dempsey Cummings, she lived in Ridley Park before moving to Swarthmore 65 years ago.

Marie was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, class of 1944. She was a member of The Church of St. Madeline and was former founding parishioner at Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church in Swarthmore. Marie was a member of The Association of Priest Parents.

She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, John R. Connelly who died on March 17, 2002, her children Mary Theresa Connelly and Rev. Dr. Mark J.. Connelly, her sister Anne M. Cummings and her longtime friend Mary Ann Fadden.

Devoted mother to Maryann T., Richard J., and Vincent J. (Jennifer) Connelly, cherished grandmother to Megan Parker, Maddy, Anna, Brendan Francis and John Patrick Connelly, great-grandmother to Brooklynn and Kai Parker.
