Marianne Rose Samohod Sebak, 59, of Ridley Park died on December 28, 2013 at Taylor Hospital. Born in Chester PA, Marianne was the daughter Rosemary Samohod and the late Joseph Samohod, and she had lived in Ridley Park for the past 23 years.


She was employed as a one–on-one teacher's assistant for the Ridley School District for over 10 years at the time of her passing. She was a member of The Church of St. Madeline in Ridley Park . Marianne was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, class of 1972. She enjoyed the little things life had to offer like a summer thunderstorm, someone calling to say hello, or watching a great show after a family dinner. Marianne was an amazing friend and mother, and could make anyone smile even after a brief encounter with her. She was loved deeply by her husband and children.


Survivors: her husband of 30 years, Joseph G. Sebak; children, Laura M. Sebak (Garrett), Kathryn R. Sebak and Daniel J. Sebak; brothers, Joseph M. Samohod, Jr. (Diane), Michael J. Samohod (Marie), William T. Samohod (Regina) and John J. Samohod (Patricia).


Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM Friday at The Church of St. Madeline, Penn St. and Morton Ave., Ridley Park where friends may call from 9:15 to 10:15 AM.


Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
