Marianna "Marian" Melchiorre (nee Sacco) of Norwood died on December 22, 2024 at her home.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late William Vito and Mary Iacono Sacco.
Marian was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1954 and was a member of St. Gabriel R.C. Church.  She was last employed as a Lunch Aide in the St. Gabriel School cafeteria and had previously worked at Jefferis Elementary School in Chester and at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.  Marian enjoyed trips to Lancaster and to the casinos in Atlantic City.  She also loved crocheting, reading, cooking and spending time with her family, especially during the Sunday family dinners.
Marian went home to be with her husband Vincent D. Melchiorre, precious grandson John Anthony Peticca and her silbings Anthony Sacco, Billy Sacco and Josephine Meehan.
She is survived by her children; Linda A. Peticca-Jackson (Kenneth), Vince Melchiorre (Karen), Thomas Melchiorre (late Colleen) and Donna Melchiorre, her grandchildren Vincent, Serena, Amanda (George) and Joseph (Sara) and her great-grandchildren Ronin, Connor, Makenna and Dominic.
Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Friday, December 27, 2024 at St. Gabriel R.C. Church, 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM.  Burial Mount Hope Cemetery.
