Maria Theresa Gonnella, 87 of Ridley Park died on June 15, 2025.  Born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Mary Martorelli Faillace, she lived in Philadelphia before moving to Ridley Park 24 years ago.

Maria was a graduate of Bok High School and before her retirement worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant at Riddle Memorial Hospital.  She was a devoted member of The Church of St. Madeline and was also a member of the Ridley Seniors.  Maria enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle, and her other hobbies included reading, watching old movies and completing crossword puzzles.  She also loved traveling with her sister, but most important was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.

She was the loving wife of the late Gus R. Gonnella who died on February, 26, 1997 after 37 years of marriage, mother of Concetta Gonnella, Gus R. Gonnella, Jr. (Michelle) and Christopher Gonnella, grandmother of Gabrielle Rose and Nicholas Rocco Gonnella, she was sister of the late Antonio, Salvatore, Francis, Lucia and Vincenzo Faillace, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 10:30 AM Friday, June 20, 2025 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Avenue, Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM.  Burial private.
