Marguerite (Marge) M. Hesselbacher Thompson, 94, of Granite Farms Estates, died February 15, 2021 at her home.  Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Marguerite Downy Hesselbacher and resided in Ridley Park, PA before moving to her late residence 20 years ago.

Marguerite was a graduate of Ridley Park High School, class of 1944 and was employed as an Administrative Assistant for John R. Callahan, DDS.  She previously worked for the Chester Times (Delco Daily Times), United Engineers & Construction, Inc. and Coin Exchange National Bank in Philadelphia.  Marguerite was a member of The Church of St. Madeline and an avid crafter and card player.  She volunteered for Meals-On-Wheels and was a member of the Fabulous Forties Reunion Committee for Ridley Park High School.  Marguerite was a former Den Mother for the Cub Scout Troop and a Girl Scout Leader at St. Madeline's, but most important was her family.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 37 years, Edward P. Thompson, who died Sept. 5, 1986; and her siblings, Dorothy McNew, Elizabeth "Betty" Houck and William Hesselbacher.

Marguerite is survived by her children, Sharon M. Siegl (Peter), Edward P. "Ned" Thompson, Jr. (Marcella) and Gail DeRita (Renato); her grandchildren, Allison, Amanda and Alex Thompson, Gabriel and Laura DeRita and Benjamin Siegl (Megan); also, her great granddaughter, Bernadette Siegl.

Due to COVID-19, Funeral Mass and Burial were private.
