Obituary
Margaret A. Barnes Taney, 88, of Chester died May 19, 2016 at Chestnut Ridge Assistant Living. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Smith Barnes. Margaret resided in East Lansdowne before moving to her late residence 10 years ago.
She was a member of St. Cyril R.C. Church, East Lansdown Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the East Lansdowne Senior Citizens where she was a board member. Margaret enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, traveling and was an avid collector of teddy bears.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Robert D. Taney, who died Nov. 12, 2006.
She is survived by her siblings, Elizabeth Rucker, Madeline Green, Joan Neff and Richard Barnes; also nieces and nephews.
