Margaret M. "Peggy" Smith, 83, of Aston, died April 5, 2015 at Carroll Campbell Place in Lexington, SC. Born in Chester, Peggy was a lifelong resident of Aston.

She was a secretary with the Ridley School district for 30 years and later worked for Sunoco for 10 years. Peggy was a member of Crozerville United Methodist Church, Friendship Chapter #551 Order of Eastern Star, a graduate of Media High School and Keystone Business School. She was named Woman of the Year; given by the Chester Business and Professional Woman's Organization. Peggy loved animals, especially her Lab, George, and she enjoyed going to the Delaware Beaches.

Peggy was daughter of the late George L. and Mary Buckley Smith and sister of the late Helen L. Smith Hansen.

She is survived by her caregiver/cousin, JoAnn Icenhour and her husband John; also other cousins, Godchildren and friends.
