Margaret M. "Peggy" Duke Montgomery, 82 of Aston, died October 3, 2011 at Chester County Hospital.
Born and raised in Clifton Heights, she lived in Darby before moving to her late residence in 1963.
Peggy was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, as well as the Upland and Parkside Senior Centers, and was a former President of the Aston Women's Republican Club and previously was Judge of Elections for many years in Aston. She also served as President of the former Woodbrook Civic Association and was a graduate of Clifton Heights High School, Class of 1947.
She was wife of the late William "Gil" Montgomery, her husband of 52 years, who died in 2002, and mother of the late John David Montgomery and James D. Montgomery and also the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Townsend Duke. Peggy was also sister of the late John Duke and Joan O'Connell
Survivors; her children Joan Lynn Fulton (John) of West Chester and Bill Montgomery (Helen) of Leesport, PA, her grandchildren J. Daniel, Brian and Michael Fulton, William G. III and Kirsten Montgomery and great-grandson Jack Fulton.
Funeral Mass 11:00 Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Rd., Aston. Visitation 9:30 to 10:30AM at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Rd., Aston, PA. Burial Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
