Margaret I. "Peggy" Hollar Holefelder, 77, of Brookhaven died February 1, 2017 at Monticello at Riddle Village. Born in Nebo, NC, she was the daughter of James Edward and Bertha Beal Hollar and resided in Claymont, DE before moving to her late residence in 1961.
Peggy was a graduate of Nether Providence High School, class of 1957 and was employed as an operator at BP Refinery for 15 years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of Our Lady of Charity R.C. Church and was devoted to her faith. Peggy was a member of the Lioness Club of Aston and enjoyed the casinos. She loved traveling, especially to the West Coast, but most important was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Albert F. "Pete" Holefelder, who died December 12, 2016; her son, Richard L. Holefelder, who died September 17, 2016; and her siblings, Hazel Matsinger and Daniel Hollar.
Survivors: mother of Margaret D. Gualtieri (John) and Michael Holefelder (Judy); sister of Joyce Lort and Steven Hollar (Madeline); and grandmother of Jeffrey, Jenna, Miranda and Erin.
