Margaret I. "Margie" White Pitts, 89, of Jennersville, died January 14, 2019 at Twin Pines Health Care Center. Born in Ridley Park, she was the daughter of the late Adolphus Eugene and Ruby I. White and resided in Kennett Square before moving to her late residence five years ago.
Margaret was a graduate of Glen-Nor High School, class of 1949 and was a former waitress at Howard Johnson and the Preston Diner. She was a member of the Hammerton U.M. Church and was a Philadelphia sports fan. Margaret enjoyed NASCAR and country music, but most important was her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
Margaret was predeceased by her siblings, Sandra Dwyer and Rodger White; her grandchildren, Blake and Chad R. Pitts; and her longtime companion, Ed Snyder.
She was the mother of James R., III (Shirley) and Raymond Pitts, Karon Patterson (David), Di-Ann Hand (Scott), Cheryl Goldsborough, Mark (Mary), Alan (Liz) and Blake Pitts (Tina); sister of Robert, Warren, David and Richard White and Susie Fachet; also, survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078, where relatives and friends may call after 9:30 AM.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery
