Madeline M. DiMattia

Madeline M. DiMattia, 59, a lifelong resident of Ridley Park died on February 20, 2026. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Kathleen Milligan DiMattia.

Madeline was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1984 where she was a member of the marching band and played on the softball and field hockey teams. Madeline continued her education by recieving a bachelor's degree in communications from Temple University. She was employed as a Customer Service Representative at Apple Vacations and had previously worked at QVC. Madeline loved traveling, watching classic films and listening to music. She was also an avid reader and loved animals, especially her cat Mama as well as her deceased adopted dogs Spot, Nikita, Ozzy, Sebastian and Bentley and cats Courage, Cookie and Pinto that brought Madeline immense joy during their lives.

She was the loving wife of 36 years to Frank T. Scandle, mother of Frank S. Scandle, Sean M. Scandle and Jacqueline N. Scandle, sister of Joseph DiMattia (Diana), WIlliam DiMattia, Jean Panco (late Robert), Angela DiMattia (Hank Kowalski), James DiMattia (Jane), Kathy Sheffield (Mark) and the late Anthony DiMattia. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation 6-8 PM Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park and 9:15 to 10:15 AM Friday, February 27, 2026 at The Church of St. Madeline, 400 Morton Ave., Ridley Park where a Funeral Liturgy will begin at 10:30 AM.
