M. Theresa Master McQuade, 88, of Ridley Park, died July 8, 2014 at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse. Born in Collingdale, she was daughter of the late George W. and Marcella Lafferty Master and was a longtime resident of Ridley Park.
Theresa was a loyal parishioner of the Church of St. Madeline. She was an avid bowler and loved Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles. Theresa enjoyed going to the theater, sewing and was devoted to her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John F. "Silky" McQuade, who died on June 15, 2001; her son, Paul J. McQuade, who died in 1995; her siblings, Jack and George Master, Marcella McMonigle,and Sally Warfield; also her grandson, Scott M. McQuade, who died in 2007.
Survivors: mother of John E. McQuade (Mary), James G. McQuade (Lorri), Rosemarie T. Baroni (Larry), Edward J. McQuade and Marybeth Billingsley (Joe);daughter in law Peggy McQuade; sister of Robert Master; 16 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren and the 16th on the way; also survived by a cousin who she thought of as a sister, Nancy Lafferty.
Funeral Mass: 10 AM Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Church of St. Madeline, Penn Street and Morton Ave., Ridley Park.
Visitation: 7-9 PM Sunday and 8:30-9:15 AM Monday at White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park.
