Lynne Marie Gilmour, 70, a lifelong resident of Aston died on April 25, 2024. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Allan C. and Eileen A. Bagley Gilmour.
Lynne attended Green Ridge Elementary and Northley Middle Schools, before graduating from Sun Valley High School, class of 1972. She then recieved a bachelor's degree in Special Education from Penn State University. Lynne was last employed at Easter Seals in New Castle, DE and had previously worked at Elwyn. She loved music, especially live music and in her earlier years traveled with her friends to folk festivals and concerts. Lynne enjoyed camping and one summer traveled across the United States alone, stopping at campgrounds and enjoying the company of strangers. More recently, she travelled throughout the east coast with her family. She cherished the times she spent with her nephew Collin playing board games, doing crafts, watching him play baseball and soccer, school events and beach trips to Ocean City NJ.
She was the sister of Patricia L. Walklett and the late Eileen A. Gilmour. She is also survived by her niece Karen Walklett Lasky, Jeff Lasky, her great-nephew Collin Lasky and a longtime friend Mary Cresta Desien, her husband Phil Desien and Lynne's Favorite Godson, Anthony Desien who she shared many hours watching movies.
A Celebration of Lynne's life will be held Graveside 11:00 AM, Friday, May 10, 2024 in Mount Hope Cemetery, 4010 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19014.
