Lydia Solczanyk Hrabowyj, 91, of Aston died February 21, 2017 at Crozer Chester Medical Center.  Born in Drohobych, Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Wolodymyr and Maria Krawciw Solczanyk and resided in Chester before moving to her late residence 11 years ago.


Lydia was employed as a teacher at Holy Ghost Catholic Ukrainian School, she taught Ukrainian Saturday School and she taught piano. Lydia belonged to the Ukrainian Music Institute of NY and was a member of Holy Myrrh Bearers Eastern Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother.


Lydia was predeceased by her husband, Franko Hrabowyj, who died in 2005 and her brother, Andrij Darian Solczanyk.


Survivors:  mother of Roman Hrabowyj and Orest Hrabowyj (Andriana); and grandmother of Andrew and Anna


Funeral Liturgy:  11:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Holy Myrrh-Bearers Eastern Catholic Church, 900 Fairview Road, Swarthmore, PA 19081, where friends may call from 9:45-10:45 AM


Burial:  Lawn Croft Cemetery
