Louis A. "Butchie" Venuto, Jr. 72 of Ridley Park died on October 5, 2013 at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Yeadon before moving to his late residence 41 years ago.

Butchie was owner/operator of L.A. Venuto Home Remodeling and was an Award winning contractor.

He was a member of the Church of St. Madeline and was a U.S. Army veteran, earning the Expert Rifle and Carbine Medal in addition to the Good Conduct Medal.

Butchie loved his dog Sophie and also enjoyed entertaining friends and family, but most important to him was his devotion to his family.

He was son of the late Louis A. and Emily Schettina Venuto and brother of the late Joan M. Venuto.

Survivors: his wife of 50 years, Carolyn A. Ogle Venuto; his children Louis A. Venuto, III and Teresa L. Venuto; brother Paul Venuto and his grandson Jordan Sander.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Graveside Service 11:00AM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery (Section 9), 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA.
