Louis Joseph DePietro, Jr., of Ridley Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 15, 2026. Born on April 26, 1929, in Pittston, PA, a coal mining town in northeastern Pennsylvania, Louis was raised with the values of hard work, faith, and family.
Lou served in the United States Army during the Korean War, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the Korean War Medal with two Bronze Stars and the Combat Infantry Badge.
After his military service, Lou made his home in Delaware County, attending Clifton Heights High School. He settled in Ridley Township in 1954, where he would spend the rest of his life.
